According to its carbon content composition, it belongs to the medium carbon steel type. It has good welding performance, high strength and easy cutting. Therefore, some people in the industry also call it high-strength medium carbon steel.
The wear resistance of 1050 carbon steel is also acceptable, so it can be used in machining parts with little loading and impacting, such as gears, tie rods, rolls, shafts, etc which under the manufacturing of machinery.

Packaging and loading requirements are also very strict. Because of one container can be loaded with only 1-2 pieces of 1050 carbon steel. Therefore, customers pay great attention to the requirements of loading issue. The loading and packing issue, the client will pay more cost than other steel grade in actually.
After quenching and tempering process with turned condition, the client can be used directly after they picking up from the final destination.
